June has been and gone, more than halfway through the year and past the longest day. The nights and mornings will start to be darker, but hopefully nice weather will ease us gently into autumn.
Our Fun Day – Coming Soon!
The big event this month is our “Fun Day” on Saturday 10th July. The shop will be open as normal 8.30am to 5.00pm, but during 10.00am and 3.00pm as well as the normal staff providing for your pets every need, we will have the following in store:
> Rupert Barker – Photographer. Rupert will be here to try and capture your pet’s picture. You will then have the opportunity to buy a portrait from his website later.
> Paul Harding – Dog Trainer. Paul will try & help you with any problems you are having with dog training. Speak to him on the day; if you require more assistance he will be able to offer his services.
> Hill’s Pet Foods representative will be able to discuss your pet’s nutritional requirements. Money off Hill’s products will be available on the day.
> Micro-chipping. Janine will be here to chip your pet at the special price of £10. This is a good chance to have your pet chipped & registered with Petlog, the National Database.
*We will also have other special offers on the day*
A barbecue will be available, donations for The Labrador Rescue Trust.
We hope you will be able to join us that day, lets us meet your pets. We just hope for a nice day so we can be outside.
As mentioned in last month’s newsletter I have to have an operation on my hip.
The animal hospital at Langford is going to give me a replacement hip, I have to go in on the 7th July and they operate on the 8th. Hopefully I will come home on the 9th.
I have to rest for 6 weeks so I will need some time off work. Please don’t send me grapes the skins get stuck to my teeth. And of course they are not very good for us dogs.
But joining us is new recruit Apple. She is a black Labrador just like me, but she is a girl! And is 1 year old. She has came to live with us, and like me she has to earn her keep by working in the shop.
Apple will be watching over my bed in the shop while I’m off and she can tell me what has been going on when she comes home.
I have attached a photograph of her, so come and meet her she is very friendly.
PS – Don’t forget 10th July for the “Fun Day.”
